​​February 23-25, Wuhan Branch Library new materials team leader Dr. Yong Wan, was invited by Materials and Chemical Department of High Technology Research and Development Bureau, CAS, to Beijing to participate in planning for “the national strategic emerging industries of key materials science and technology” pilot project, and participated in the writing of the project application texts.

Since the special pilot project of the materials had been started in 2011, the new materials team of Wuhan Branch Library concentrated on the project and carried out information services actively. In March 2011, they were commissioned to develop a wide range of research on the key technology. From September 2011 to February this year, according to requires of High-tech Bureau, they completed the research and analysis of the material in important international science and technology planning, major development plans of the materials in the field in recent years, important events in the field of materials, material constraints as well as all major types of materials overview, and provided large amounts of data.Their work had been unanimously endorsed by the relevant experts.
