Department of Information Research----THE WUHAN BRANCH OF THE NATIONAL SCIENCE LIBRARY,CAS

The information research of Wuhan Branch of National Science Library primarily focuses on the needs of national science and technology, economic development, and national security. We conduct both strategic intelligence research and academic information research on the decision making and research activities of the Chinese Academy of Science technological innovation base. We provide timely intelligence support for the Chinese Academy of Sciences, national science and technology decision making body, and decision making activities of science and technology management department. We also provide information research service for science research activities, and consulting service for related industries and organizations. We provide information support service for industrialization of research findings and collaborations between the Chinese Academy of Science and industries. The main research areas of the department include advanced energy technology, advanced manufacturing and new materials, bio-security, resources and environment in the Yangtze Basin, and management innovation and evaluation of research.

Individuals: leaders, technology managers, researchers, engineers, university students, enterprise administrators.

Research Areas:

1.Strategic planning studies

Provide information support for science and technology management department through the research of technology policy, research management, development strategy, and planning.

2.Situation analysis of fields

Carry out developing trend analysis and tracking of specific areas or topics, provide information service for research institutions and projects of enterprises.

3.The research of technology roadmap

Carry out analysis of scientific research output, scientific and technological achievements, patent and standard, also the analysis of relevant industry status and the developing trend. Provide information for the development of enterprises and decision making departments.

4.Industry analysis

Carry out the strategy and future direction analysis of industrial technology and market development. Provide consulting service for relevant industries and departments.
